Il Casatiello

The idea for the project draws from one of the great classics of Neapolitan cuisine, the casatiello. Its forms are referenced without being constrained by them, preserving a distinct identity. The simple, free design highlights one of the most recognisable features of this rustic bread: the wave-like shapes echo the eggs embedded in the soft leavened dough, giving form to a fruit holder.
